April Fools!: Ellen Page to Join TDK Rises!

It looks like the Inception wagon will not stop for director Chris Nolan. Nolan, who has been notorious for continuously casting the same actors and actresses from film to film is looking to make 2012's The Dark Knight Rises a giant Inception reunion.  I personally know that Nerd Blerp's own Graves will be the most upset about this. Ellen Page is best known for her work in Juno, which got her nominated for an Academy Award, co-starring with the ever-lovable, yet ever-awkward Michael Cera.  Page has also flexed her super-hero muscles before: in The X-Men movies, starring as Kitty Pride, better known as Shadowcat.

 In my opinion, Miss Page may not fit in with the series, and honestly I'm a little annoyed by this. It's unsure who she will play in the next Batman film, but my sources state that it may be a GCPD officer that is forced to hunt Batman down. Don't be surprised if we see Ellen playing Renee Montoya. With casting moves like this it's hard to see where Nolan is headed with this next film. From reports of Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Alberto Falcone, and Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle, this may end up being a Bats vs. The Mob type of film, which I'm all about!  It would make perfect sense for Page to play a fresh beat cop, assigned to go after the mafia in Gotham. When quoted on her casting in The Dark Knight Rises Ellen Page had this to say:


I'm both honored and terrified to be a part of this distinguished franchise. These Batman films have finally made comic book movies accessible to the [Academy] as well as general movie goers. I'm excited to take part in another comic franchise, and have the utmost respect for Chris. I just hope that I'll be able to keep up with the brilliance of Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, and Anne Hathaway.

 What's next, Nolan? Leo DiCaprio as Edward Nygma? I'd actually be fully for that. Read this article and take my suggestion! I just hope that this big Inception cast party will be as good as Batman Begins! Check out The Dark Knight Rises in 2012!
